Tartarus  is  an  enigmatic  Dark  Guild  and  the  keystone  of  the  Ballam  Alliance,  founded  by  the  Nine  Demon  Gates  sometime  during  the  last  few  centuries  for  reasons  unknown,  with  Ishuken  at  their  head.  Only  exceptional  magi  with  an  avid  curiosity  in  the  Black  Arts  and  a  proper  awe  for  Zeref  are  candidates  for  recruitment,  though  none  but  the  Etherious  have  insider  knowledge  of  plans  or  intent.



--  Objective:    All  the  Etherious,  having  been  created  by  Zeref,  are  wholly devoted  to  him;  seeking  to  fulfill  his  innermost  desire  whether  they  are  fully  conscious  of  what  that  is  or  not.  Everything  they  do  is  motivated  by  a  burning  desire  to  appease  The  Black  Wizard  while  fully  enjoying  individuality.
